Wandering Man

This is the tale of the wild and the wandering man
born in the deep of the night he came to this land.
He said, “what is this place? I´ve never seen your face”.
He didn't know that this world would be something new,
the lights, the sounds, he did not even had a clue
to understand the masterplan and realize his life had only just
begun.
He walked the roads in the night with a dimmed light flare,
some voices told him “don't worry we´ll get you there.”
Where? “To the in-between, to the evergreen,
where freedom is a match and you the kerosene.”
When the walls come down patiently he´ll wait,
he´ll stand his ground, he´ll be standing straight.
He´s not afraid of what is to come
cause now he knows that he´s not alone.
Oh baby, take my hand, we´ll never leave this promised land.
Stay with me, forever free,
and when the walls come crumbling down
together we will stand our ground.

The wind blows hard and the night is cold
and a storm´s to come that´s what she´s been told.
The eyes in her dream showed her where to see
but she´s blinded by the shadows and the trees.
She said “lead me to the light,
lead me to the light,
lead me to the light tonight.”
The dust in her wings spread across the floor,
she´s defying death that’s what she ignores.
It appears to be a fire in the sky
but those flames are just illusions in disguise.
She said “lead me to the light,
lead me to the light,
lead me to the light tonight.”
Dawn is almost here and she must get home
but she ain´t afraid to fly on her own.
She´ll return again to the skies tonight
cause she´s never gonna stop chasing the light.
She said “lead me to the light,
lead me to the light,
lead me to the light tonight.”

Give me a reason
tell me something I don't know.
This clock keeps ticking
and there is somewhere I need to go.
I´ve been hearing the same old story,
the same words and the same lines.
And baby you need to be worried
if you still think that I´m so blind.
It is too late to apologize,
there was nothing but fear inside your eyes,
and your venom it had me paralyzed,
I sucked it out and I spat it directly to the skies.
I saw the cracks of your skin
and they where filled with ash and smoke.
Now it´s too late to choke
and it´s too late to plead
and it sure hurt as hell
but I ain´t got time to bleed.
It is too late to apologize,
there was nothing but fear inside your eyes,
and your venom it had me paralyzed,
I sucked it out and I spat it directly to the skies.

We are only animals trapped inside a cage that we call home.
Pick your shades and colours, wear them on your skin, it´s time to
go.
We´re headed into the unknown.
So hang bright lights that we can see
in timberlands so we can breathe
then give us something to believe in before it all burns down.
The road we´re trying to follow shows no signs of hope, only pain.
But hear, the wind is calling, saying “child this journey will not
be in vain”.
You´ll be dancing soon under the rain.
So hang bright lights that we can see
in timberlands so we can breathe
then give us something to believe in before it all burns down.

I threw myself into the sea,
to wash away the sins in me,
the waves fulfilled my prayers and crashed me down.
I tried to swim back to the shore
but my heart kept begging for some more
so I turned my back and went for another round.
That old bird inside my chest flew until it was out of sight,
and the devil walking in the sand disappeared into the night.
I felt the breeze touching my face,
it woke me up with subtle grace,
the sky was still grey but the storm was gone.
Now I go wherever the wind blows,
and where I´m heading no one knows,
float on and sail away with the dying sun.
That old bird inside my chest flew until it was out of sight,
and the devil walking in the sand disappeared into the night.
